Zazzle, a Fabulous Resource for Business Cards and More
By: Amber Ludwig, Internet Marketing Coach
Zazzle.com has been around for 10 years and I am just as impressed with them as I was a few years ago. Zazzle is a website that allows you to create custom business cards, t-shirts, mugs, magnets, stickers, postage – anything you can think of, just about! (Nope, I’m not an affiliate, just spreading news about a great company.)
I originally discovered Zazzle a good 4 years ago when I was planning a local business conference for 200 attendees. We were seeking out companies that could provide goodies for our attendees such as pens, keychains, etc. We wanted something unique – something that stood out from what was given away at every other conference.
The neat thing about Zazzle is if you have a little time and patience you can custom design and create the coolest giveaways for your audience – or to sell in your online store – or to give as gifts to friends and family. You can add your logo, photo, custom text to any product they have.
Recently I used Zazzle for creating business cards. I needed them to be delivered next day air for an event I was attending. I first went to Office Max (thinking local) – they couldn’t get it done next day. So I went to VistaPrint (another great site usually). They were trying to charge me an arm and a leg for next day delivery so I bailed on my order. Then I started searching online for anyone that could do next day deliver without claiming all my possessions in return. I went through the process of picking a design, customizing and going through checkout with 2 other companies until the light bulb went off – Zazzle!
I went to Zazzle and found some modern and creatively designed business cards (which was refreshing) and I was really impressed with how their customization design section was built. It wasn’t like Vista Print where I could only add text to the pre-built fields. I could clear all the text on the template card, add photos, change fonts, move text around – it was crazy! Or… it was the way it should be.
I was in and out of there quickly, they DID allow next day air and it only cost me an extra $15!! The cards arrived next day as promised – in the morning – they were very professionally packaged and it was exactly what I wanted overall. Now you can see why I wrote this post. I just had to give them a raving review!
I don’t know why we are so impressed when a company gets it right – or why all companies can’t seem to pull off that kind of efficiency. But this post isn’t about that. Check out Zazzle and I hope you have the same great results I had!
