The Website/Blog Design and Development Process:
- First, you will be sent a Pre-Flight document which is a sort of website evaluation. This will guide us through the exact design and layout of your site, based on your wants and needs.
- Once we get the filled out pre-flight back, Marty and I will arrange a one hour call to review the pre-flight with you and ensure we are all on the same page for the creation of your site.
- I will submit a hand drawn sketch to you within a day or two that will be the rough layout of your site.
- Once you approve that layout, I send your pre-flight, logo, and the sketch to our design team.
- While we wait for design, my programmer and I start to set up the framework of your site.
- Over the course of a week, you will receive 3 completely different designs (see examples below).
- You can pick one of the 3 designs, or combine all three, to create your final design.
- Once the final design is approved, we begin to add that to the framework of your site.
- From the date we receive your final design, expect about a two week turnaround for under 20 pages (and more time for more pages) before the site is ready for launch.
- You will of course get the opportunity to review and approve the website before we go live.
- Once we go live, you will have an opportunity to submit last-minute small change requests if there are any that come up.
- Once I have your final approval, I will give you a checklist of everything we did for you in this design and execution Phase of your package, which we call Phase 1.
- At this point, I will have already given you a series of training videos so you know how to manage your website content and add to it.
- After that initial training, you have the opportunity to request an advanced training call or get instructions via email for the course of one full year.
- And last, we arrange another call between Marty and I to discuss Phase 1 (how it went, what could have been improved, etc.) and then create a plan for the marketing of your site (which we call Phase 2).
Of course I will be here to guide you through the process and keep you updated on our progress as time goes on.
