				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was at a great conference for authors today and listened to a talk by the amazing <strong><a href="http://www.writeitprintitsellit.com" target="_blank">Matthew Bennett</a></strong>. This guy has sold MILLIONS of copies of books, donated GOBS of money to charity and OOZES success.</p>
<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-5285" alt="Matthew Bennett" src="http://insightfuldevelopment.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/mathew-bennett-195x300.jpg" width="195" height="300" />I love that he started his talk letting us know that at the end of the talk he wanted to offer full transparency and have us ask ANYTHING we wanted &#8211; highlighting that he wanted us to ask the questions we were <em>afraid</em> to ask. Damn I love that.</p>
<p>So I listened to his whole talk. It was great (and funny). He educated us on how to sell piles of books to corporations. A very unique approach to get massive book sales and spread your message further than you probably ever could trying to go the traditional route. I have studied this strategy for years, but he offered great tips about how to go after the biggest fish and make the biggest strides for success. He nailed it.</p>
<p>At the end of his talk, I&#8217;m looking around at the room of authors who were all pumped to implement these strategies. Reality hit me though and I felt disappointment because most people in the room might never even &#8220;try&#8221; his suggestions because of <strong>fear</strong>. That nasty <a href="http://insightfuldevelopment.com/talking-back-to-your-inner-critic-free-download/" target="_blank">Inner Critic</a> that prevents the majority from going after what they truly want.</p>
<p>I raised my hand and asked something like,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;People always leave seminars feeling pumped up to make success happen for themselves. Yet, something stops them. I&#8217;ve seen people constantly struggle to do the things they want to do or need to do because they are afraid to go after it. They have reservations on taking even the smallest of steps. <strong>What is your advice to get into the right mindset and actually go after these strategies for success?</strong>&#8220;</p></blockquote>
<p>Oh boy did he LOVE that question. Of course, I was fired up to hear his response. You know I live the phrase <em>No Guts No Glory</em> so I am always interested to see how superstars answer this question.</p>
<p>His response was simple and true. You just have to do it. He said there is no magic formula (so right on!!). &#8220;You have to be realistic. You can just hire someone to do the work for you either. <strong>You must engage.</strong>&#8221;</p>
<p>And there you have it folks. There is no secret sauce. There are just people in this world who feel the fear and do it anyway. There are also people in this world who feel the fear and it stops them in their tracks.</p>
<p>I decided early on in life that I wanted to face my fears and I can tell you honestly, it&#8217;s been 100% worth it.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever been faced with an enormous opportunity and scrambled to decide if it was worth pursuing or not? Along the journey to making the decision, you&#8217;re filled with anxiety, fears, excitement, limiting beliefs, and imagination of the relief this opportunity could bring.</p>
<p>Being an entrepreneur offers so many interesting and unique experiences that you just couldn&#8217;t get anywhere else. I started my company in 2007 and named it NGNG Enterprises (standing for No Guts No Glory). I have trained my Courage muscle to give me the guts to pursue any goal I wanted to achieve and now, through my work I encourage other entrepreneurs to do the same.</p>
<p>I wanted to stand out in my career. I wanted to be one of the best at what I do. I can offer several keys to success, such as:</p>
<ul>
<li><b>Make each of your clients feel like they are your top priority</b> because they should be (yes, even the little guys or people who can&#8217;t afford your services &#8211; everyone!)</li>
<li><b>Respond as quickly as possible to people&#8217;s requests</b>, even if it&#8217;s an email reply saying you&#8217;ll get back to them shortly (people LOVE the comfort of knowing you are on top of it)</li>
<li><b>Treat your team like the absolute gold that they are</b> (you wouldn&#8217;t have a successful company without them)</li>
<li><b>Pay everyone and every bill on time or early</b> (It&#8217;s responsible and fair, again showing you are on top of it and reliable &#8211; rare!)</li>
<li><b>Be thorough in your work</b> (Your attention to details will separate you faster from the pack than most anything else)</li>
<li><b>Have the guts and initiative to challenge yourself </b>(Don&#8217;t ever do the minimum)</li>
<li><b>Inspire and educate others as much as possible</b> (This will give you unmatched energy to keep going, even when you&#8217;re feeling doubt or procrastination creep in)</li>
<li><b>Say YES to opportunity</b> (Be a &#8220;yes&#8221; person not to people please but to launch yourself into new adventures that will lead to unparalleled success)</li>
</ul>
<p>I could go on and on and on about the philosophies I run my business by. This mindset has allowed me to achieve a 30-50% sales growth each year I have been in business, clients and friends to regularly send message of gratitude and has given me a feeling of peace and confidence in how I show up in the world. If you ask other top producers, they will say the same.</p>
<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-5280" alt="Amber Ludwig" src="http://insightfuldevelopment.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/amber-ludwig-grass-200x300.jpg" width="200" height="300" />As you figure out <i>your </i>keys to success as an entrepreneur, opportunity comes knocking on your door more and more and more. This is when the real ride begins. You start to dream of a big sales goal and actually hit it! You start to imagine the expansion of your company and you actually achieve it!</p>
<p>At some point though, you&#8217;ll experience a tipping point. This stage is at a different milestone for everyone. For me, it was in January when I realized I had the opportunity to grow my business into a million dollar earner. It scared me and it invigorated me.</p>
<p>My company was in negotiations with multiple BIG companies who wanted to create an alliance and long-term partnership. I was speaking more and producing more product &#8211; we were servicing more clients than ever before. This is what every entrepreneur dreams of right?!?</p>
<p>A quiet voice inside (which later got much, much louder) helped me realize it wasn&#8217;t my dream after all. My dream was to stay involved with clients. To motivate them to maximize their potential and share their message with the world through online marketing. I wanted to get my hands dirty every day and coach people to pursue their dreams &#8230; I didn&#8217;t want to just hire someone to do all of this work that I was so passionate about. I hit a roadblock and it took much soul searching to decide what to do from that place of uncertainty. Should I keep going, close these deals and hope I feel happier once I&#8217;m on the other side? Or do I stop, regroup and work on a new plan that headed in a direction I was more excited about?</p>
<p>As you grow your company, you will experience many moments like this. These are a few steps I took to gain clarity about how to move forward:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Have conversations with people who have been where you are.</strong> For me, I chose to have conversations with leaders who grew to that million dollar success, and leaders who chose not to pursue that scalability yet have very successful companies anyway. I always like to get both sides of the story, ask smart questions and make the best decision for myself, from there.</li>

<li><strong>Be at peace knowing that either decision you make, you will be OK.</strong> Life is ever-changing. New opportunities will continue to pop up. Sometimes it&#8217;s ok to just go with the flow.</li>
<li><strong>Take the time you need to make the decision.</strong> While it feels like, &#8220;NOW is the time! I have to decide right now!!&#8221; No, you don&#8217;t. People are patient and you don&#8217;t always need to be on other people&#8217;s timelines. Take the time you need to decide what is right for you business and life. Opportunity will still be there, waiting patiently.</li>
<li><strong>Trust your gut instinct.</strong> That&#8217;s what I did and WOW did it work out well in the end. Better than I could have ever hoped.</li>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this day and age, there are a variety of ways to interact with consumers.  Whether it be through traditional marketing such as newspapers, magazines, and television; or through more current online formats such as websites, blogs, webinars, online forums, or social media, the list is endless and new opportunities arise every year.</p>
<p>Although these are all proven engagement methods, we want to take a look at one of the most effective engagement tools available and that is <b>Mobile Marketing</b>.  <span style="color: #0099cf;"><b>91%</b></span> of adults keep their phone within arm&#8217;s reach 24/7.  Think of the convenience.  People can hardly go an hour without looking at their phone and the ability to literally put your message in the palm of a consumer&#8217;s hand is now a reality.  Below you will find 4 unique ways consumers interact and engage using mobile, so you can determine where to start in your own business:</p>
<p><b>1.  SMS Messages.</b>  Texting is simple, instant and effective and your consumers do it all the time.  Take into account that it takes 90 minutes for the average person to respond to an email; <b>whereas</b> <b>it takes 90 <span style="text-decoration: underline;">seconds</span> for the average person to respond to a text message</b>.  When people hear their text ringtone, they can&#8217;t help but look at it, as our curiousity gets the better of us.</p>
<p><span style="color: #0099cf;"><b><i>How consumers engage using SMS:</i></b></span><br />
Through an <a href="http://www.gomobilemediamarketing.com/services/text-message-marketing/">SMS platform</a>, the receiver (aka consumer), would receive a message that causes them to take action.  Send them a reminder that their appointment is tomorrow, an upcoming event registration deadline, enter to win, ask consumers to reply to your text and the first 5 receive a special offer, and time sensitive coupons</p>
<p><b>2.  Mobile Coupons.</b>  A mobile coupon is an electronic ticket that is delivered by a mobile device that can be exchanged for a discount or rebate when purchasing a product or service.   Mobile coupons delivered by text message or a QR Code scan drive traffic to stores, events, attractions, and services; adds value to a purchase; directs a discount to the consumer; and leverages distribution.  According to Juniper Research, mobile coupons are expected to increase from $5.4 billion in 2012 to more than $43 billion by 2016.</p>

Smartphones let users access deals on the go and have the capability to serve coupons that are highly relevant based on location, behavior, and timeliness.</p>
<p><b>3.  QR Codes.</b>  A QR Code is a 2-Dimensional matrix barcode.  QR codes are read by software which scans them and then links to the information they contain.  They are designed to allow content to be decoded at high speed providing desired information and content.  QR Codes are a convenient way to deliver content to your customers and potential clients.  QR Codes placed within print material allows you to bridge offline marketing with online marketing and turns your print material into an interactive experience.</p>

QR Codes are unique and quite often get scanned simply because people are curious as to what information is contained within all of those squiggly lines and squares.  Consumers scan QR Codes to be directed to a mobile website, video, survey, coupon, business card, landing page, contest, or product/service.  All very important ways to drive engagement with those interested in your business.</p>

<p>Blogging is the heart and blood of your website. It&#8217;s what keeps your business flowing and thriving.</p>
<p>Each time you publish a blog post, you prove to Google that you are here to educate and inspire your following on a regular basis. <strong>Google will reward your efforts</strong> by ranking you higher in its search engine for the topics you write about. The more consistently you blog over a longer period of time, the better you continue to get rewarded. It is CRAZY how much traffic I get to my website by writing just one post per week.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t start with just one a week though. In the beginning, I wrote 2, 3&#8230;even 4 a week. I had heard that <strong>something magical happens when a blog achieves 100 posts</strong>. I wanted to hit that goal ASAP. I hit it, and I saw a lot more traffic flow in. I built the traffic up to 10,000 page views per month and scaled back to once a week to focus on product development and scaling my business. It&#8217;s now a well-oiled machine.</p>
<p>As Google ranks you higher, something very cool happens. <strong>Sites with huge followings find and SHARE your posts!</strong> The editor in chief of Slate magazine found one of my posts and linked to it from within his blog post. <strong>I got 1,000 new visitors to my website overnight! </strong></p>
<p>As you continue to publish great content, people share your blog posts on their sites or -even better - social media. If you think a blog post rocks, you&#8217;d share it on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and LinkedIn. Everyone in your network would then see that post, read it, opt-in to that website, buy products and the cycle continues. <strong>People advertise you for FREE because your content rocks!</strong></p>
<h3>You Can&#8217;t Afford NOT to Get Serious About Blogging!</h3>
<p><strong>But, I don&#8217;t have time!</strong> With all due respect, I call BS. You can <em>make time</em> for a task this critical to your online success. If you want the chance to get 1,000 new visitors to your website overnight, or get 10,000+ page views each month, or triple your opt-in list, or, or&#8230; you get the point. Blogging is THE answer.</p>
<p><strong>Where to Start?</strong> Take 15-20 minutes and sit down with a blank sheet of paper. Write one or two words at the top which encompass the main, overall topic or theme for your business. For example, we can use &#8220;Dog Care.&#8221;  This will become the main theme for your blog. Beneath that heading, write as many sub-topics as you can think of such as: dog food brands, flea treatment, training tactics, dog toys, etc.</p>
<p>Keep going until you literally can&#8217;t think of anything else. If you can&#8217;t get to 50, type your top keyword phrase into Google and see what comes up to help thought-jog you. The reason behind this exercise is to have a reference list each time you sit down to write a blog post. No more writer&#8217;s block, and hopefully this will provide some motivation to keep blogging.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t need to write posts nearly as long as this one. This one is long because I have a point to prove. <img src='http://insightfuldevelopment.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' />  Yours can be 400-500 words. Write a blog post once a week &#8211; minimum. When you&#8217;ve published the post, share it on your social networks and encourage people to read and share your blog post. Tell them WHY they should read your post &#8211; give them a reason, give them the benefit.</p>
<p><strong>At the end of the day, if you share good, valuable how-to or inspirational content, your results will be incredible!</strong></p>

<h3>A Secret Weapon That Could Blow the Roof Off Your Website</h3>
<p>It&#8217;s obvious now that the more you blog, the faster you will see massive results. It&#8217;s a numbers game.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve been running &#8220;<strong>guest blogging</strong>&#8221; programs behind the curtain for some pretty big websites over the past couple of years.</p>
<p>We get started with a new client and structure a custom guest blogging program for their website. We work with the client to gather several writers who are committed to submitting at least one blog post per month. We then take all of the leg work off the client and completely manage their blog and the 10-15 authors we have on board. This includes managing the editorial calendar, managing the authors, scheduling, search engine optimization, blog post prep work and more.</p>

<li>Generate WordPress user accounts for each guest author, and send them their login information with the Guidelines.</li>

<li>You now have 10-15 people writing good, valuable how-to or inspirational content each month.</li>
<li>These writers will be sharing their articles ALL OVER social media and in their newsletters.</li>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s <strong>not </strong> just about the number of followers you have on Facebook or Twitter that matters. This is a HUGE misconception people have about social media. It is WAY more about the connection you have with your following, and their loyalty, than the number.</p>
<p>My following is SUPER loyal for example, because they see how I pour myself into my work and truly want to help them. </p>
<p>One way I suggest improving the quality of your social media engagement, and therefore your following&#8217;s social media experience, is to <strong>study what others are doing</strong>.</p>
<p>Spend 30-60 minutes each month on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn researching companies and individuals related to your industry. You may want to do a quick Google search if you do not know who your competitors are. For example, search &#8220;dog trainers.&#8221;</p>
<p>As you locate your competitors, thoroughly scan their Facebook, Twitter LinkedIn pages to evaluate what they are doing. </p>
<p><strong>You are looking for&#8230;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> the number of friends they have </li>
<li>what kind of content they post, </li>
<li>how frequently they are making posts, </li>
<li>are their friends or followers posting on their wall, </li>
<li>are they generating a lot of comments, </li>
<li>do they offer different media posts, </li>
<li>are they self-promoting their products and services and how often / how do they do it, </li>
<li>what is the mood like on their page, etc.</li>
</ul>
<p>It will become obvious to you if this competitor has 30 friends and never posts, then they are not a model to follow.  But if you find a competitor that has 1,500 friends, has a lot of activity on their page and is branding themselves well, then they are someone to study and learn from.</p>
<p>During your research be sure to take out a piece of paper and jot down ideas of what you want to improve about your own Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc pages.</p>
<p>Social media is not a one-way street of you promoting yourself. I invite you to spend the time and do this research to <strong>improve your social media efforts</strong>. You&#8217;ll be shocked at how much better your results will get with a little extra care in this department.</p>

<p>It is much more expensive to try and acquire a new customer, and besides, your existing customers deserve extra love from you since they already took that leap of faith with you!</p>
<p>The most powerful form of advertising is word of mouth and its even free! Your customers are so incredibly valuable because they already love your work, they will refer others to you, and they want to see you succeed. </p>
<p>Today I invite you to reach out to your customers with a thank you note. No pitch, no incentive, just a good ole fashion &#8216;thank you&#8217; gesture.</p>
<p>You could even take it one step further and turn this into a regular habit! Imagine how good this will make them feel!! They so deserve it.</p>

<p><strong>Tool #1: Boomerang for Gmail</strong></p>
<p>I LOVE this email tool! Boomerang allows you to schedule email replies for a future date and time. It also allows you to keep your Inbox manageable by scheduling an email to disappear and come back to me at a later date and time. For example, if an email doesn&#8217;t need a reply for a week, I don&#8217;t want it clogging my Inbox! I just schedule it to be resent back to me in a week and reply at that time. <p><strong>Tool #2: Facebook Scheduler</strong></p>
<p>Similar to Hootsuite or Buffer, Facebook has its own scheduling tool. I love using it because there is no mention of &#8220;posted by ____(buffer, for example),&#8221; which has lowered my results of Likes and Shares. Write a week&#8217;s worth of Facebook posts in advance and now you will keep up with your Facebook rockstar status without being glued to your desk. <p><strong>Tool #3: Google Keyword Tool</strong></p>
<p>Unsure of what your audience wants to learn about? This tool allows you to type in general industry keywords such as &#8220;children&#8217;s books,&#8221; &#8220;music theory,&#8221; &#8220;baseball,&#8221; and Google will populate current related searches as well as rank them by popularity. This data will not only show you the top topics people are searching for but this in turn gives you all sorts of writing material you may not have thought of otherwise. <p><strong>Tool #4: Evernote</strong></p>
<p>As we search online or just sit with our computers to &#8220;get creative&#8221; and stay productive, we come across hundreds of ideas, cool websites and pieces of content. Generally, we lose most of it because we don&#8217;t have a way to quickly and easily record it all. <p><strong>Tool #5: Carbonite</strong></p>
<p>This is a must-have, critical tool! Carbonite is an online computer backup system. What would it feel like to have your computer crash and all of your files no longer existed? This happens ALL the time. Simply signup with Carbonite and it will backup all of your computer files each day. It&#8217;s very easy to use and restore your files. 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You&#8217;ve heard that making regular posts on social media is critical to your success, and you heard that right! I also know that posting on Facebook is tough to do during the day. You get wrapped up on client projects, phone calls and email.</p>
<p>What I would suggest is scheduling all of your social media posts for the week on a Sunday or even the Friday before.</p>
<p>Post great educational and inspiring content your audience will enjoy reading. Post 2-4 times a day at different times (for example, space out posts every 2 hours or so).</p>

<p>You can prepare a post and schedule it to appear later by adding a date and time in the future before you post it. You can schedule a post up to 6 months in advance in 10-minute intervals.</p>
<p>From your Page&#8217;s sharing tool:</p>

<li>Choose the type of post you want to add to your Page</li>
<li>Click the icon in the lower-left of the sharing tool</li>
<li>Choose the future year, month, day, hour and minute when you&#8217;d like your post to appear</li>
<li>Click Schedule</li>
