Zazzle.com has been around for 10 years and I am just as impressed with them as I was a few years ago. Zazzle is a website that allows you to create custom business cards, t-shirts, mugs, magnets, stickers, postage – anything you can think of, just about! (Nope, I’m not an affiliate, just spreading news about a great company.) I originally discovered Zazzle a good 4 years ago when I was planning a local business conference for 200 attendees. We were seeking out companies that could provide goodies for our attendees such as pens, keychains, etc. We wanted something unique – something that stood out from what was given away at every other conference. The neat thing about Zazzle is if you have a little time and patience you can custom design and create the coolest giveaways for your audience – or to sell in your online store – or to give as gifts to friends and family. You can add your logo, photo, custom text to any product they have. Recently I used Zazzle for creating business cards. I needed them to be delivered next day air for an event I was attending. I first went to Office Max [...]

For those of you awesome readers that follow me on Facebook and Twitter, you probably noticed I was invited last week to be interviewed by two amazing gentlemen. Mark Crowley and David Sandusky host a live radio show as part of their company “Your Brand Radio” that is helping millions of entrepreneurs online. I was honored! What’s really great about Your Brand Radio is the theme behind its well-known program: Your business is not unique, but you are! With a couple million followers, Your Brand Radio invites some of the most talented experts on the show to provide never-ending value to its loyal listeners. The live show was held at Espressole Caffe in the Denver Tech Center which is a great coffee shop that can’t be beat. Accompanying Mark, David and me was a fabulous professional photographer, Neil McKenzie. I noticed throughout the show he was really seeing my interaction with the hosts from every possible angle. I couldn’t have been more impressed. If you need a photographer or a professional photo shoot done, call Neil! I just have to give props when people deserve it!
Tony Robbins is one of my all-time heroes and mentors. I attended an event of his five years ago this month. Back then, I was searching for answers about why I was the person I was, and clues as to who I was going to be in the future. Back then I was just a kid starting out on a journey. At Tony’s event I had many realizations about my past and future – how I wanted to show up in this world. This jump started my book to release next year titled “Rescuing Me: A Teen’s Journey From Lost to Found” and made my life’s purpose clear. I make every effort to improve and thrive, then help others along the way. Today I was searching for a video I could share with you, from Tony Robbins, to give you a taste of his power of influence. Sure, it will provide motivation. But more importantly, his 5 keys can serve as a goal that you can hit. I like to take tips and ideas from others, really listen, then analyze to see what parts I want to integrate into my life and which parts I’ll discard. Tony tends to transfer [...]

Today I’d like to share with you a wonderful Internet Marketing resource that I came across the other day. Ian Lurie runs a popular blog called “Conversation Marketing“. Ian says, “After 13 years as an Internet marketer, I’ve pieced together my experiences with the technology, communications and design issues inherent in our business, and built Conversation Marketing as a rubric for good decision making.” Ian’s writing is witty, smart and full of valuable goodies. One great goodie I found was titled, “The On-Page SEO Cheatsheet“. It’s a 2-page visual SEO guide which teaches you the top priority SEO tactics you need to learn to get ranked well in Google, Bing and other top search engines. I printed this guide and when I read the tips I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge Ian was giving away for FREE. Impressive. I signed up for his list so I could get blog posts in my email and I think you should too. First, go download his On-Page SEO Cheatsheet – you don’t even have to give up your email address for it. It’s a great reminder to keep by your computer desk.
Below you will find 18 tips to improve the results for your blog website. This information is brought to you directly out of a quickie eBook created titled, “57 Tips to a Better Blog”. This blogging guide is a really great training piece that can help you uncover the missing pieces to your blogging success. Below you will find 2 tips from each of the 10 categories I give tips and tools for, plus one more at the end. Blog-Site Setup Tips: Do not type your email address into a page and expose it for the world to see. You will increase your spam emails ten-fold. Instead, add in a “Contact form” to your site and link to that page. Choose a domain name with these ideas in mind: Two or three words, anyone can spell it, easy to remember, and relates to the main topic or theme you plan to write about. Design Tips: Avoid using a theme that displays “reverse text” (white text on a dark background). Readers will find this difficult to read after a while and will end up leaving your site. People like image-use but note that you want to only use “royalty [...]

DooID and OnePage are websites that can provide interactive virtual contact cards – sort of a one stop info page for viewers to get the skinny on you and your business. These sites basically allow you to upload a photo, add links to your social networks and include a short bio. You can add more bells and whistles if you want to upgrade from a free to paid account. What’s the point? Well, it’s good to have an active focus on getting links back to your website or blog, known as “backlinks”. By adding your site URL to these cards, that can help in a small way to increase search engine visibility. These sites are also nice for attracting some new visitors. They will usually have a huge surge of visitors then die down. It’s important to stay informed on the “latest and greatest” web developments so you can take part of the action will the iron is hot. DooID Digital Contact Cards DooID has been around the longest and so is the most popular right now. Click here to see an example of my DooID.
