Creating a Movement!

Who’s up for creating a movement?

Running a business is not easy.  There is always something to think about.

I sometimes think about the routine and automation of each business day. We wake up, we try to market, we try to sell, we need to sell (we need to sell!), we just want to create (we need to sell!), we feel pressure to do more – faster… it can be a lot.  A LOT.

You hear other “experts” say how you need a 5,000+ person list, you need to do more webinars, create more products, start Facebook Ads, get on ClickFunnels … the […]

The Responsibility of Leadership

I’m thinking a lot right now about leadership.

I see that in my own team and client environment, there is a huge responsibility to be an effective leader. But that makes sense, right?

What most entrepreneurs don’t see is that they have a HUGE responsibility to be an effective leader to their audience (…the audience they often times don’t even realize they have!).

We are SO obsessed with growing our email list from 200 to 2,000. But what about pouring everything you’ve got into those 200 people and being an incredible leader to them? Do you think getting 200 clients isn’t enough?

We are […]

Authentic Leadership: Leaders Aren’t Born, They Are Made

A good quote and reminder for you:

“Leaders aren’t born they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.”
~ Vince Lombardi

As we march the sometimes lonely solopreneur journey to business success, there is suffering and doubt marching by our sides. We wonder if we really have what it takes to make our dreams and goals a reality.

You do have what it takes…

You have a great responsibility…

People ARE watching and listening to you (even when you are convinced otherwise).

Authentic Leadership is something […]

Perfection is the Enemy of Progress!

“Perfection is the Enemy of Progress!” Churchill said that and boy was he right!

I had a coaching call with a client last week He had awesome ideas and he had all the potential in the world, but his business was just inching along.

His website was half baked, he hadn’t gotten any paying customers yet and he was stuck in the “questioning stage” of his new online adventure.

What was the problem?

He wasn’t “ready” because he still felt a need to perfectly identify his exact target market, his exact marketing message, his perfect title, and his flawless coaching process.

The perfection myth is […]

The Grass is NOT Greener on the Other Side

“The grass is NOT greener on the other side.” I’ve said that a lot in the past year or two… and it is total #truth.

Have you ever looked at someone you admire and think about how easy they must have it or how much you wish you could experience what they experience?

“The Grass IS Greener on the Other Side” concept has been around for a long time and expresses our lack of personal fulfillment and distraction in always looking at what others have, thinking it must be easier or better.

That couldn’t be more false.

If you ever find yourself looking at […]

You Don’t Have to Be All Things, to All People, All the Time

Today, I have a very important reminder for you.

You don’t have to be all things, to all people, all the time.

Is that incredibly zesty and refreshing?

Let me tell you why this came up for me this week…

I recently got a very interested prospect emailing me saying he wanted me to help him grow his wife’s multi-six-figure business into a multi-million dollar business.

Their website was great. Their topic was killer. But, the answer immediately came to me… I wasn’t a fit for what they would need out of me.

My passion is in working with entrepreneurs who are just starting, or […]

Overcome Failures and Flaws for Faster Results

Sometimes you win. Sometimes you learn. Boy, isn’t that the truth?

Sometimes we scroll through our Facebook feed and feel super lame, inadequate or like we’re just plain not good enough. I hate that feeling! It’s a very common response that springs from social media though. We see all the “good stuff” people promote and we feel like we can’t keep up.

But….

Just because you are a coach or expert does not mean you are supposed to be flawless or perfect.

It is the imperfection or “failures” that make us better and stronger than ever before.

So if you screw up or get a bad […]

Why Most Goals and Resolutions Don’t Work + How To Achieve Yours!

Just before the New Year, social media was buzzing with people who were SO excited for a fresh start…. New Year’s resolutions flew off the pages…. Everyone was sharing their “word” for the year.

I have to be honest – I worried I was being negative – but this overwhelming discomfort overcame me. After years of studying this time of year, I know the pattern that people follow after making their New Year’s goals.

In less than TWO WEEKS from right now, the ‘word’ fades, the justifications are at an all time high and it’s just a matter of days before the goals are […]
