Website Design is one of the most essential elements of starting a website. The design of your website will convey a message to new visitors and you have the ability to control what their impression is. Having a web design that sends the wrong message to your audience can have an impact on your bounce rate (the rate at which someone clicks on your site and immediately clicks the back button within 5 seconds). Having an ineffective design will cost you money! It’s the money you could be making if people signed up for your list, stayed to look through your resources or hired you for your services. A website design that lacks proper Internet Marketing planning and strategy is something we see often, unfortunately, but something you can change luckily. When we sit down with a new client we will review their existing design and discuss the holes which lead to visitors exiting the site without taking action. When sitting down with a new client who wants to start a website, we teach them the proven strategies for web design that will get them a higher conversion rate and better long-term results. Below I have listed a few key [...]

Zazzle.com has been around for 10 years and I am just as impressed with them as I was a few years ago. Zazzle is a website that allows you to create custom business cards, t-shirts, mugs, magnets, stickers, postage – anything you can think of, just about! (Nope, I’m not an affiliate, just spreading news about a great company.) I originally discovered Zazzle a good 4 years ago when I was planning a local business conference for 200 attendees. We were seeking out companies that could provide goodies for our attendees such as pens, keychains, etc. We wanted something unique – something that stood out from what was given away at every other conference. The neat thing about Zazzle is if you have a little time and patience you can custom design and create the coolest giveaways for your audience – or to sell in your online store – or to give as gifts to friends and family. You can add your logo, photo, custom text to any product they have. Recently I used Zazzle for creating business cards. I needed them to be delivered next day air for an event I was attending. I first went to Office Max [...]

For those of you awesome readers that follow me on Facebook and Twitter, you probably noticed I was invited last week to be interviewed by two amazing gentlemen. Mark Crowley and David Sandusky host a live radio show as part of their company “Your Brand Radio” that is helping millions of entrepreneurs online. I was honored! What’s really great about Your Brand Radio is the theme behind its well-known program: Your business is not unique, but you are! With a couple million followers, Your Brand Radio invites some of the most talented experts on the show to provide never-ending value to its loyal listeners. The live show was held at Espressole Caffe in the Denver Tech Center which is a great coffee shop that can’t be beat. Accompanying Mark, David and me was a fabulous professional photographer, Neil McKenzie. I noticed throughout the show he was really seeing my interaction with the hosts from every possible angle. I couldn’t have been more impressed. If you need a photographer or a professional photo shoot done, call Neil! I just have to give props when people deserve it! Mark and David from Your Brand Radio were perfect hosts! I have known Mark [...]

If you’ve studied Internet Marketing at all, you’ve heard “build a list, build a list, build a list!” This is sound advice. Building a list of email addresses, people that are interested in following you – this can be your greatest online asset over time. Of course you’ll want to handle your “list” with care. Don’t spam, don’t email every day, etc etc. Follow my logic here for a moment… People are subscribing to lists less and less. Some have asked if that burst of squeeze pages, newsletter signup forms and ethical bribes (like an eBook giveaway) are going away for good even. No, I don’t believe they are. I still sign up for people’s lists all the time. Why not?? You can unsubscribe at any time! If you stumble across a blog or website that provides great content and gets your energized you’re crazy not to opt-in to their list. You’ll get little “reminders” of that excitement plus you’ll stay current in your industry (IMPORTANT!). Ok, so some question if the “opt-in phase” is gone – I say no. But, I do believe it is becoming increasingly harder to make an offer so irresistible that someone would sign up [...]

I’m all for someone sharing the goods. Some are not, and for you, there are plugins that don’t allow anyone to copy your content. They do this by disabling your visitor’s ability to right click, among other things. But, I’m all about sharing the wealth so feel free to share my content.
Tony Robbins is one of my all-time heroes and mentors. I attended an event of his five years ago this month. Back then, I was searching for answers about why I was the person I was, and clues as to who I was going to be in the future. Back then I was just a kid starting out on a journey. At Tony’s event I had many realizations about my past and future – how I wanted to show up in this world. This jump started my book to release next year titled “Rescuing Me: A Teen’s Journey From Lost to Found” and made my life’s purpose clear. I make every effort to improve and thrive, then help others along the way. Today I was searching for a video I could share with you, from Tony Robbins, to give you a taste of his power of influence. Sure, it will provide motivation. But more importantly, his 5 keys can serve as a goal that you can hit. I like to take tips and ideas from others, really listen, then analyze to see what parts I want to integrate into my life and which parts I’ll discard.
