Stay Tuned…

I will be adding some AWESOME product to my store this week… A WordPress video training series that covers everything you’d want to know from how to change settings, add plugins, manage content, add links/images/video, SEO tactics and more!

I’ll also be adding a complete website checklist with almost 30 pages of items to consider when evaluating your website/blog including website basics, business planning, design/layout/formatting, shopping cart and SEO tactics.

An announcement will go out once these items are on this site and ready for sale. Examples and complete list of topics covered will be available as well.

Thanks for your patience to those of you who’ve mentioned you’re anxious. We’re just about there!

Thank You for the Kind Words Sheri!

The following was sent to me from an AWESOME client in New Zealand. Marty and I help authors, speakers and business owners with Product Creation. We can Skype with long-distance clients or do in-person product creation sessions for local clients. We have had extraordinary feedback from these sessions. I had to share Sheri’s because she’s amazing and the feeling was 100% mutual!

“The best decision I ever made was to sign on to work with you and Marty!

It was great to have the opportunity to work with you two – you both have amazing positive energy, and I loved how you were able to quickly hone in on key points and help me sharpen my own focus. You also have a wonderful collaborative dynamic and complementary views that flow very naturally between the two of you.

My Skills For Life Interview with Corporate at Vector Marketing

Check it out! Vector Marketing was a multi-million dollar company I worked with for 5 years, starting in college at the University of Arizona. The corporate office contacted me last week and asked if they could interview for their upcoming Skills For Life, Success Stories series.

Secretly, I always wanted to be featured in one of these! When I was running weekly 3-day training seminars for new representatives, we would read a few killer Skills For Life articles and they always made a difference for the 20-50 students in the audience.

To sum up my experience with Vector, this is a section from my bio I’ll share:

Aside from achieving the highest sales level in the company of Senior Field Sales Manager, she moved through the management levels very quickly. From her promotion of Assistant Manager after 2 short months, Amber went on to become a lead Sales Manager for her local district office, to then becoming promoted as the Pilot Sales Manager and helping to run a division of 4 states.

How to Add Google AdSense Ads to Your Website or Blog

One way to make some extra side revenue for your website or blog is to add Google Ads in the pages ad/or posts of your website. If you’re looking at the full page view of this blog post (vs. the home page teaser post) then you can see what I’m talking about here on the right side of this content ——->

This program showcases ads that business owners pay for, to be included in this community, and the ads are targeted and based on the content of your page or post. So if my blog post is about balloon animals, Google may place ads on that post for clowns for hire, or a bulk discount for buying a lot of balloons. Then, your visitors come to your blog post, they need a clown for a birthday party, click on the ad (which automatically charges the business owner, clown, in this case) – and if the visitor buys services from that business owner, you get paid a piece of the profit.

Shopping Cart/eCommerce Options for New Website Owners

So you’ve heard about this opportunity to make money online, eh? That you could put up a website, sell some eBooks or something, then make some bucks and hopefully generate enough income to live a dream of working from home in your PJs? It’s true, no one lied.

Maybe they didn’t tell you how much work would be involved, but I’m here to tell you it’s possible – it has a hefty learning curve – but I haven’t met a person who couldn’t buckle down and get ‘er done.

True, it does start with building a website (ask me how). Then you’ll need to create a product to sell (read this post: “14 Online Product Ideas You Can Create Cheaply to Make Money Online“). The next step is to find a way to collect the dollars.

The questions become:

A $300 Million Dollar Idea to Make Money Online

You gotta love Google. The other day, the question came to my mind, “Who owns all the domain names?” If I want to start a new site, I think of a good name and I go to GoDaddy.com, or other domain registrar, to see if it’s taken. But who has ultimate control or possession of all the domains? So, I did a Google search.

Well, I didn’t get the answer because I got sidetracked on a pretty unbelievable article written by Paul Sloan from CNNmoney.com titled,
The man who owns the Internet“. Ok, I had to read on…

The subtitle read, “Kevin Ham is the most powerful dotcom mogul you’ve never heard of, reports Business 2.0 Magazine. Here’s how the master of Web domains built a $300 million empire.

I bring this to your attention because this one article got my mind spinning and expanding, thinking “oh, the possibilities”…

What’s the Deal with Affiliate Marketing and Social Media?

By now you’ve heard a little something about affiliate marketing – enough to know you should be an affiliate. You’ve also heard how imperative social media is.

Wanna hear my two cents? Below you’ll find a 20-minute audio where I was interviewed by Pam Zimmer. Feel free to download, SHARE, or listen straight from this post.

What questions did I answer?

  • Why would someone want to sign up as an affiliate and what are the benefits?
  • What is a “mask URL” and when/why would you want to use one?
  • How can you leverage being an affiliate to market and grow your business?
  • If someone is new to social media and wanted to create the most opportunity for a book release, what are the top things they should do?
  • What other tips can I offer to have more success with affiliate marketing and social media?
