Privacy Issues? Facebook to Allow 3rd Party Sites to “Personalize” Your Experience

Where is Facebook headed? At their third annual f8 conference held in San Francisco last week, decisions were made to automatically opt-in users to a 3rd party personalized experience. As groves of long-time Facebook users close or suspend their account, questions are raised as to how much of your private information is given away.

Sites that have access to your profile right now include Yelp, Microsoft Docs, Pandora.

“The plan consisted largely to enable people to “like” content from around the Web, transmitting their downstream activity back to Facebook, and also – garnering an incredible amount of backlash from those opposed to the company’s approach to automatically opt users in – they introduced the opportunity for partners to personalize your Web experience based on your profile.” – Louis Gray, http://blog.louisgray.com

So what is Facebook saying about it? Well, in a hard-to-find page in your Facebook account privacy settings, you’ll see:
Facebook’s instant personalization pilot program helps you connect more easily with your friends on select partner sites.

Download Free Cool Fonts

Maybe you’re a beginner designer, or you are an author and just came out with an eBook you need a cool cover for. How can you get your design to stand out? I suggest, downloading free fonts – gothic fonts, script fonts, word fonts, handwriting fonts, tattoo fonts – all free for you to download depending on where you go.

I’ve actually researched a bit, where you can go to get free but SAFE fonts. I found a website that I now use exclusively, www.UrbanFonts.com. You can search fonts by category and view the styles without having to go through a ton of hoops. I’ve probably download a few dozen fonts from their site without problem 1.

Check out the Products section of this website. See that eBook,
57 Tips to a Better Blog“? Now, look toward the bottom of the book and check out that script:

Believe it or not, that’s just a font – not something I designed. See how you can set your designs apart from the crowd with simply finding a cool font?
