Building & Managing Your Email Subscriber List with Constant Contact

Most Internet Marketers out there will tell you that building a list of subscriber emails is your greatest online asset. I have personally used Constant Contact, a low-cost user-friendly email management system.

More than 300,000 small businesses and organizations use Constant Contact’s tools to build strong relationships with their customers.”

Generally you would have a sign up form on your website or blog that would allow a visitor to sign up for your list in exchange for a free report, series of video training, eNewsletter, etc. I’m sure you’ve seen offers out there.Email Management System

For this type of setup, I suggest using an online program called Constant Contact.

Scenario:

Someone fills out your online website subscriber form. The user will then go to a confirmation page to confirm they want to be on your list. Meanwhile, you get an email notification that this person has signed up for your list. Once they confirm, a welcome email will automatically be sent from Constant Contact, and land in their Inbox.

Starting an Internet Business with Low Budget and Little Starting Knowledge

“I want to start an Internet business but know nothing about it and don’t have a lot of money to start it. Can you point me in the right direction to accomplish this? What are the most lucrative type Internet businesses?”

Dear Entrepreneur – You have quite the journey ahead, but it’s absolutely possible. I can tell you that getting your business online or even starting a blog would be a smart move…it’s just where things are headed.

Starting a blog is honestly your best bet on a low budget. You can start your own WordPress blog (wordpress.com) for free – it will just take time. You can create your own look and feel by choosing a theme.

A blog is sort of an online diary of sorts. You can take my blog as an example. I started this blog to express my knowledge on Internet Marketing and starting an online business, plus a few other goodies like sharing my network and explaining step-by-step how things work on many subjects. That is an example of a blog you could start (maybe on a different topic).

What’s the Deal with Affiliate Marketing and Social Media?

By now you’ve heard a little something about affiliate marketing – enough to know you should be an affiliate. You’ve also heard how imperative social media is.

Wanna hear my two cents? Below you’ll find a 20-minute audio where I was interviewed by Pam Zimmer. Feel free to download, SHARE, or listen straight from this post.

What questions did I answer?

  • Why would someone want to sign up as an affiliate and what are the benefits?
  • What is a “mask URL” and when/why would you want to use one?
  • How can you leverage being an affiliate to market and grow your business?
  • If someone is new to social media and wanted to create the most opportunity for a book release, what are the top things they should do?
  • What other tips can I offer to have more success with affiliate marketing and social media?
