Can Fear Turn Into Success and Happiness?
By: Amber Ludwig
Picture this…
I am 21 years old and working for a multi-million dollar marketing company. It’s a Friday at 2pm, approximately 2 1/2 months after I started. Being the top sales producer out of my 50+ person training class had landed me a promotion to Assistant Manager in training. I had been studying my 13 page, 60 minute long, group interview script for a month now. That day I had 2 back-to-back interviews scheduled.
These group interviews were typically 6-8 people big. Maybe 10 people would show up and fill out applications. I would then screen the applicants (2 or 3 at a time) and hold a group interview for the candidates I felt were a good match for this job of selling Cutco Cutlery – a fantastic program designed for college students to gain experience in the workplace.

Live Your Life in the Front Row
By: Amber Ludwig
During my time at Vector Marketing I got the privilege of meeting some very powerful leaders, but one stuck out to me in particular. A man named Jon Vroman.
While Jon and I worked at Vector (who markets Cutco Cutlery) he co-founded a very powerful non-profit called “The Front Row Foundation“. The mission is to help people facing life threatening medical conditions get into the front row seats to concerts, sporting events and live performances of the recipients’ choice.
From Jon:
Someone once asked me, “Jon, why do you put so much effort into front row tickets?”
For anyone reading this that’s been in the front row, you already know the answer. For those who have not, let me say it this way, being in the front row feels like you’re part of the event itself.
There is a tangible energy.
The music vibrating through your body.
The intensity in the faces of the athletes.

How to Use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to Manage Website Files and Folders
By: Amber Ludwig
My next training piece for you is how to use FTP software. Each website has a directory of folders and files. These folders and files contain all of the scripts, images, logos, design files, html or php files — basically everything that combined make a website.
To access these behind-the-scenes files and folders you would need FTP (file transfer protocol) software. This allows you to transfer files to and from your personal computer.
The free and easy to use software that I have been working with for years is called Core FTP. Below are some step-by-step instructions to installing the free software and for using it.

Custom Twitter Backgrounds to Double Followers
By: Amber Ludwig
In a previous blog post, “What is Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Del.icio.us, Flickr, Squidoo, and all the others?” I wrote about what Twitter is. “Twitter is a free social messaging utility for staying connected in real-time. You can type posts of up to 160 characters (called “Tweets”) about what’s on your mind (about the weather, your business, sports updates, anything!)”
NGNG Enterprises has been working on developing custom Twitter design backgrounds for clients. This is key to getting more followers for your Twitter account. A few key tips to getting more followers:
- Get a free account at TweetLater.com
- Add a custom background (theme) to your Twitter profile
- Plan for 3 sets of 5 Tweets minimum per day
- Use IFollowBack.com
- Use FriendOrFollow.com
Some examples of custom backgrounds to satisfy your interest:
Want to know how to make your own custom background? Send me an email with “How do I add a custom background to Twitter?” and I’ll tell you.
